Game #1 vs Central Jersey Stampead
Kings Start off season with a BANG winning the first game of the year 11-3 in the opening round of the tournament. Great pitching performance from Joey Perez and Michael Zamora.  Key contributions from all of the young men, team effort!! Congratulations to their first win of the season!!!!

Game #2 vs Hacksensack Comets
Game #3 vs Hacksensack Comets (play-off round) Kings #2 seed
Rematch from the night before Kings vs Comets, this was elimination round. This game Ron Gibbs would be the starting pitcher for this game and Ron would do a great job hold off the Comets to one hit and punching out 6 batters in 3 innings of work to relive Ron and close out the game Patrick would throw the final 2 innings of play to hold off the Comets to one more run. The offense would be lead by Ray Torres going 2-3 with 2 RBI’s. Kings win 7-2 advancing to Semi Finals vs Bronx Astros.

Game #4 Semi Finals vs Bronx Astros
Kings came across a very good Bronx team, they came out the gate swinging and they jump on top of the boys 6-0 in the first inning. A very hard fought game but the Kings came up a short losing to the Astros 11-0 ending our weekend. You all showed character, and what it means to be a King!

I’m proud of  each and everyone of you boys, you guys step up to play 12U teams and did a great job going 3-1 overall in your first tournament of the year. Now that we put this one behind us let’s look forward to everything we have in store for 2011!!!

Coaches and the players on the team would like to thank all of the families for their continued support, standing by the team throughout this cold and long weekend and looking forward to our next tournament this weekend in Newburg, New York.

Game 2 was going to be a real test for the boys, they had to play a very experience 12U team who had won many tournaments as a team. But this game was like any other game for these boys. They came out the gate swinging the bats to jump on the Comets 3-0 in the 1st inning. Patrick Morrissey would start the game for the Kings and he would hold the Comets hitless for 3 innings and Jonathan Fonseca would close out the next 3 innings with hitless ball as well, Patrick & Jonathan would combine for the Kings fist No-hitter of the season! Jonathan Fonseca would hit the Kings first HR of the year.Very good day of baseball. Exciting wins. Offense and defense were excellent. Great efforts from all 13 players, way to go Kings! The Kings were going into the play-off rounds as the #2 seed.
